It is located in a plaza, next to Avenida Juan Carlos I. There, we can see the monument of a cart pulled by a horse. It was one of the first toys made in Ibi. In the early twentieth century, the inhabitants were engaged in the work of the field and the manufacture of ice cream. There was a small tin workshop where milk jugs, oil cans, and containers for ice cream makers were made … In this workshop Rafael Payá made his children a small tartana with pieces of tin, eventually the first Ibi toy factory appeared. Hence the special meaning of the “Tartana” and it has a place in Ibi. Furthermore, the highest award granted by the Villa de Ibi today is the Tartana.
